To support billing operations, the full-time Billing Specialist will manage daily billing tasks, ensure timely and accurate claims submissions, and maintain compliance with insurance billing policies while working remotely. Key responsibilities Prepare and submit accurate claims for patient services, ensuring compliance with third-party payer guidelines Review patient accounts and reconcile payments with secondary payers, addressing outstanding balances before filing Collaborate with internal departments to resolve issues affecting patient accounts and assist in reducing account receivable days Required qualifications 3-5 years of experience as a primary biller in a hospital business office In-depth knowledge of billing codes, guidelines, and regulations, including ICD-10, CPT, and DRG Experience utilizing payer portals and understanding third-party insurance payer guidelines High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in medical billing is a plus Proven experience in third-party insurance billing and collections, preferably in a healthcare setting
